It is said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This is especially true for us lifters because we need to refuel our bodies that have been fasting during our eight hours (at least!) of sleep. This is why it is so important to eat a balanced breakfast! Plus, who doesn’t love breakfast foods?!
To give you an idea of a good breakfast, here’s what I eat every morning:
This comes out to about 31 grams of protein, 29 grams of carbs, and 9 grams of fat.
My current daily intake is 140 grams of protein, 130 grams of carbs, and 45 grams of fat, so this is about the amount of macros I try to eat for each of my meals.
Featured above are some images of other breakfast ideas that you can try. The most important thing about your breakfast is to make sure you get all the nutrients your body needs to recover from a long night of fasting. We don’t want all the hard work we’ve been putting in at the gym to get that beach body to go to waste by not properly fueling our bodies in the morning. Once you find a breakfast that you love, and works best for you and your goals, you will go to bed dreaming about your next meal!
