Greasy pizza is one of the #1 foods a person should stay away from while on their fitness journey. This may make us long for the unhealthy cheesy dish even more, but who says all pizza has to be bad for you?
Apples are a healthy treat that can be found pretty much anywhere during the fall season. Since apples are so accessible and delicious, why not combine the two into a fun, fall snack: Apple Pizza.
Your core ingredients will consist of apples, which will act as your “dough”. Some type of peanut butter or other nut butter will act as your “sauce” and at least three types of healthy toppings. This snack could be made however you like, with whatever you like. It’s meant to be a delicious snack that’s fun to make. A bonus to this snack is you can get a little workout if you decide to pick the apples yourself!
Here’s an example of an easy Apple Pizza:
You will need one apple, cut into thin slices. Next, spread a thin layer of peanut butter on top of one side of the apple. The toppings include cocoa nibs, organic granola, and chia seeds.
